It’s too cold outside. I don’t mind the cold but this is just horrible. I’ve hunkered down in my snuggle sack. The boys are in theirs. And I’ve turned up the bedroom heater for the both of us. I can’t imagine what the power bill is going to be like.
I accidentally left an orange in my trunk. It must have fallen out of my lunch. It was frozen solid this morning… I tried to peel it figuring that it would make a good snack. Yeah, bad idea. I broke two fingernails and almost broke a tooth.
And then, most of my student have been in a bad mood. It’s typical this time of year. They all have some type of cabin fever. It’s not easy being a teacher.
So, I’m sitting here writing this with Fred and Lamont on my lap. They are snuggled together under a blanket. It’s toasty warm under there. I keep hearing small noises of contentment from both.
It’s times like this that I realize how lucky I am to have both Fred and Lamont. And as I sit here and rub their heads, I know that they feel the same.
Stay warm. – KA has
